Enjoy the best colored pencil drawings I've ever done!
Yes, I've finally started posting my eBay auctions! I changed my username at eBay to something people will recognize: robertsloan2art (it seems robertsloan2 was taken! I wonder how many of us there are?)
Here's a list of my auctions:
EDIT: Took off the two pieces that sold, to draw more attention to my new auctions. It's starting to be a huge entry! Dec. 1 is Theme Week at my ACEO Art Cards Editions & Originals Group on eBay, so in order to get a chance at winning a jpg award in a contest, I've got TW pieces starting at only $4.99 -- good bargains. All day today I'm going to be doing new Frost themed ACEO art, so watch this journal for changes!
The biggie, the reason I am sending it out again, is that I'm finally selling the Raptors Series. They're going as a set. I love those pieces, they all came out so well, they have plenty of favorites -- and I want anyone who loves them to know they're available this week. If they don't sell here, the price will go dramatically up, as my flat price is $20 each that's a $60 set of artworks.

Change of Plans
Plenty of changes in my plans. Due to a weekly medical treatment on Thursday evenings and the effects of weather on my stamina, I probably won't be doing the SF Street Artist Program for a while - at least a few months. I'm qualified and screened but in three months of the license I did not get one good day that wasn't taken up with going out for necessary appointments and errands like grocery shopping and medical appointments. Bummer, but I will hopefully reach a stable point where I can build the strength to go out once or twice a month and then I'll renew the license.
No sense paying for it before I know I can do it. Besides, I wanted to
One step from Street Artist Program!
Today I went out and got my California Sellers Permit (free) and tax information. Then went down to City Hall and paid $25 for my San Francisco city tax registration. Last Thursday, I went in for screening for the Street Artists Program.
One more thing to do. I need to get a credit union, cash my Google Adsense and Commission Junction checks along with my little prints check and write a check or buy a money order to pay the San Francisco Arts Commission for my street license.
I've been running around like crazy. I went out three days in a row this week between a doctor appointment and shopping trip on Tuesday, voter's registration correctio
Etsy Store and Prints Live!
Well, after almost two months in San Francisco, I'm starting to draw and paint again. Yesterday I did a pastel landscape of a Welsh road that leads into enchantment.
I got lost in the painting and layered it over and over, bringing out the sparkle of the light through the leaves. It's a special experience when I'm painting woodlands in a warm season. It takes me into the same place my stories come from, the road reminds me of Bilbo's song "The Road Goes Ever On."
It also leads right into the elven lands I wrote about in this year's Three Day Novel Contest entry. What I write and what I paint weaves in together to an inner life that keeps me
I'm Home! San Francisco rocks!
I'm here! I'm finally here. I came home. I left in 1980 and with all the homesickness I had from the moment I got on the plane to leave, my friends and I were concerned I might have too high expectations.
Not so. San Francisco is even better than I remembered.
The weather is fantastic. I have more strength here, more body energy, fewer days of being completely crippled by the weather. I haven't had even one bad weather day.
I overexerted and knocked myself out for days at a time running around to get my prescriptions and unpacking. I really did go nuts. That was the risk of feeling so good. I felt like I could do anything I wanted. When my
