Color Conte on watercolor paper primed with AS Colourfix clear primer.
Fall landscape painted brighter than life, loosely from a reference by artist60164 on WetCanvas.com. I changed the reference substantially and eliminated the pond in favor of extending the path.
This one was definitely a color experiment in using the screaming brights, inspired by several pastelists I know. I may get back to muted colors again sometime but right now I'm really enjoying all the brights.

Wow, it reminds me of my Yr11 exam piece! On one half of my painting it was all fiery reds and oranges with offsets of purple... (the other half was black and white, in the snow. It was to represent Autumn and Winter)
